Frederick Douglass is rolling in his grave over this!!!

This is just a terrible disrespect of his legacy and he NEVER would have allowed them into his house for something like this!

Me: What would you say if I told you that a former member of the Klu Klux Klan was having his birthday party at Frederick Douglass’ house?”

You: Get out!

Me: And it’s being thrown by a Senator of the United States too?

You: Stop lying!

Me: I wish I was, but it’s true.

You: So you’re telling me that a U.S. Senator is really throwing a birthday party for an ex- KKK member at the house of a civil rights icon? That’s not right. Who would do something so thoughtless and disgraceful?

It’s really being done! Democratic Senator Hillary Clinton is holding a birthday party for Klansman Democratic Senator Robert Byrd! (As I’ve mentioned before, once you’ve gone Klan, it’s hard for me to see you as “former”.) The party is being held at Frederick Douglass’ house :mad: !

For those who don’t know Frederick Douglass was a Conservative Republican Black man, who ran away from being enslaved in 1838! He was totally against social programs and other efforts to continue giving things to Blacks after slavery and wanted Blacks to work for anything else on their own. He was firm on this position and felt Blacks should live or die by their own level of effort in America! He was the polar opposite of everything Hillary Clinton and Robert Byrd have ever stood for!

The Newsmax story offers some details about the life of Robert “KKK” Byrd.

Byrd joined the Klan in 1943 and rose the level of Kleagle before being unanimously elected to the office of Grand Cyclops. He claims to have resigned a few months later. But in 1946 Byrd wrote the Klan’s Grand Imperial Wizard to express his support.
“Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth,” the top Democrat urged.

Byrd led the filibuster of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and called notorious white supremacist Sen. Richard B. Russell, who was chiefly remembered for blocking anti-lynching legislation, “my mentor.” In 1972 Byrd sponsored legislation to name the Senate’s main office building after Russell.

As recently as 2001, the West Virginia Democrat was still using the N-word in television interviews.

Hillary Clinton, you are not doing Frederick Douglass any tribute and everything you and Senator Byrd stand for is a disrespect to his great legacy. A legacy of Blacks working for their own WIHTOUT government continuing to give and give crap, that allows some to feel they don’t need to work for themselves! Frederick Douglass was totally against your staple causes like Welfare and Affirmative Action! He spent his life fighting Democratic Party efforts and fighting the terrorist acts of the Ku Klux Klan!

Robert Byrd participated in an American terrorist organization! To me he deserves nothing less than the inside of a cold jail cell and certainly does not deserve to have a party in his honor at the home of the great Frederick Douglass!

These Democrats should CALL OFF THE PARTY!

    Don’t you know that all of Robert “KKK” Byrd’s sins have been washed away since the NAACP gives him such high marks. It’s amazing how black people can remember slavery and Jim Crow yet forget which party made it all possible. I have found the fastest way to get a black democrat to defend a klanman is to criticize Bryd..So yeah I think Freddrick Douglass is spinning like a top.
