Here is the full roundup of last night’s results!

In NJ a Liberal won the Governor’s race. No big surprise, given the state is Liberal. And let’s not forget the tactics Corzine used to win!

In VA the Lt. Gov. Tim Kaine won the Governor’s race. This is being played up as a win for Liberals, but is it really? It is a win for Democrats given Kaine is a Democrat, but I’m one that cares more about issues than party affiliation. So what was Tim Kaine’s view of issues like abortion?

Kaine played the middle of the road. And his fence straddling on the issue helped him win. He has promised to advance conservative things like abstinence education, while at the same time saying that baby killing should remain legal in cases outside of the ones he tries to limit. He says he does not want to criminalize women and doctors, but wants a partial-birth abortion ban. So what if someone has a partial-birth abortion after his ban is in effect? Will they and the doctor not be prosecuted under the state’s criminal code? Kaine used clever double-speak against a weak Republican challenger to win. So while Liberals probably did get the best of this deal he’s not on the very far left. Kaine had to talk up his faith big time to win! Which shows that Democrats realize that they cannot fully give in to the anti-faith Communists trying to overtake their party! Just the same Kaine is a Liberal replacing another Liberal. So this is not a big shocker!

In CA…..this is a hard one… Schwarzenegger (a Liberal Republican) watched his butt get kicked on Conservative ballot initiatives. Like parental notification when their child has a baby and wants to kill the baby in the womb! Again the rights of parents to manage their children’s actions has been undermined!!! A child in CA needs parental consent to get a tooth pulled by a dentist, but they can kill a baby in the womb without ever telling their parents! This is madness in action! During the 1980’s CA did have a parental consent law, that the State Supreme Court killed. It is sad to see this initiative defeated. And I am sure that many of the people who helped defeat it don’t even have kids themselves!

Also an effort in CA for Union members to have the freedom to choose if their union dues might be used in political efforts was defeated. And the Union strong arm in CA politics rolls on!

In CA even more Liberal initiatives, like a prescription drug program was defeated. It was the Night of NO in CA!

In Texas Hallelujah!!! Voters overwhelmingly approved a Constitutional Amendment, that states marriage is between a man and a woman! It was approved by over 75%! Way to go Texas! Blogger DL Foster has more coverage of this and a lesbian candidate defeated in VA.

In OH, an attempt by George Soros and other Liberal nuts to change that state’s election rules was defeated!

In Cincinnati, OH State Senator Mark Mallory has won the Mayor’s race. He is a Liberal, but played on some Conservative principles like “a healthy business climate” and “Protecting citizens”, while mixing in things like “Greening the city” to win. Both men running in this race were Democrats, but his challenger David Pepper seemed to have a slightly more Conservative view of things.

In NYC, Liberal Republican Michael Bloomberg won the Mayor’s race. Which is actually a good thing when you consider that his challenger Fernando Ferrer is more Liberal than he is!

In Atlanta, GA Liberal Mayor Shirley Franklin won re-election easily.

And the lowest of low points in last night’s Mayoral races, Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick won re-election.

Hendrix was the better candidate in that race for sure! To the 47% that tried to get rid of Kilpatrick, I mourn with you!

update (11/9/2005 3:39PM ET): The nuts in San Francisco really outdid themselves this time! Banning law abiding citizens from owning guns and discouraging military recruitment! Nothing makes less sense than law abiding people giving up their guns because criminals have guns . Kennesaw, GA proved that the opposite works better. Banning guns in other cities has not worked as well as Kennesaw’s plan, that actually put guns in the hands of citizens to better defend themselves! And to disco rage military recruitment! Given they don’t want to allow the military to recruit in schools, maybe San Francisco should be denied any Federal protection? If they don’t want the military, then it would only be appropriate that our military turn their backs on them!

In the effort to suggest to school children that God really does exist: Kansas says yes, but Dover, PA says no.
