While calling Samuel Alito’s nomination “troubling” an editorial in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel made a race-based attack against Justice Clarence Thomas, that lowers the overall value of that newspaper.

In their editorial, which does start like your run of the mill Liberal talking points memo, they take the attack further by making this insane comment about Justice Clarence Thomas:

This group think socialist race-bait is par the course for Liberals fixated on race. Their view is that all Blacks must think alike or not be considered Black. Today no Liberal or Conservative White person considered “not White” for their chosen political slant. And any person that might feel “Whiteness” is based in a political slant certainly has not expressed it via the editorial pages of a major newspaper in modern times! But Liberals deny Blacks the “freedom of choice” that they claim to embrace themselves. They claim “diversity”, but Blacks that do not fit their preset political mold are scorned and they scream to the masses that the person may not be Black. Simply because some other Blacks disagree with the targeted Black person. To connect skin-tone with political views totally goes against Martin Luther King Jr’s own view that a man “not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character”. Today’s Liberal takes the position that color and character must match for an entire group! Especially when speaking in terms of Blacks! Which by definition means that they are pulling America further from King’s view, while claiming to uphold it!

It was Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean who mentioned that the Republican Party is the “White Christian Party”. But Liberals have no problem with someone being considered White that is of any political view, so long as they have the correct skin tone. But Blacks that choose to be an Independent Conservative like myself or a Republican are questioned as to their racial credentials. These Liberals are attempting to bring shame to Blacks, that would deny us the freedom to take any political view of our choosing. I feel it is for this reason, that some people call the Democratic Party the Democratic Plantation! Because any Black that attempts to leave is hunted. Any Black that denies the plantation is scorned! Blacks that accept the plantation are promised that they will be cared for and their basic needs met. So long as they continue to work on behalf of the plantation. The historical similarities are not very ironic. Given it was the Democratic Party that harbored slavery even after the Republican Party decided it was morally wrong!

It is insane for an editor (or editors) at the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel to imply that Clarence Thomas is somehow not truly Black! Being born in Pin Point Georgia in 1948, he’s faced more racial issues than most who dare to criticize him on the basis of race! And being abandoned by his father when he was just one year old, he’s seen his share of adversity! The strength he had to build to overcome such obstacles must be the reason he is able to stick to his views with conviction today! Because being an American success story himself showed him how to best achieve his goals in life. Goals he knows others can also achieve. Without the plantation!

update (11/3/2005 3:06PM ET): Black Conservative organization Project 21 offers a stiff rebuke! Another interesting aspect of this is that the editor who wrote the piece is a Black man. (Or maybe I should say Black fool!) I guess the idiots at this paper felt that might offer them some kind of cover to pull mess like this. Greg Stanford obviously feels he can dictate how all Blacks should act based on the actions of a majority. Does he also feel that it is “Black” to drop out of high school, given the rate is over 50% in some Urban areas? Or is it “Black” to have a baby out of wedlock, given 76% of Black babies are born out of wedlock? WHAT AN IDIOT!!!
