Another bomb has rocked Trinidad’s capital Port of Spain. The 5th bombing in a series this year! The FBI is investigating and FBI Director Robert Mueller has visited the area to pledge US assistance.

This new wave of violence is causing fear to sit in and changing their normal way of life.
Violence alters way of life in Trinidad

Police were investigating a known Islamic Radical group and took some of them in for questioning after the 4th bombing.

I’m thinking OJ’s investigation to find his ex-wife’s killer might turn up better results than Bakr’s efforts to find the people behind these bombings!

In a victory for all who know “Abortion is Homicide”, a Gwinnett County public school has backed off attempts to prevent student Brian Ramirez from wearing clothing that carries the phrase! Brian, who attends Maxwell High School of Technology every school day morning for a three-hour auto collision repair technology class, would at times wear shirts that carried statements like “Abortion is Homicide” on the front and “You will not silence my message; you will not mock my God, and you will stop killing my generation.” on the back. He is a senior at Collins Hill High School. While the administration at Collins Hill High School never expressed any issues with his clothing, a teacher at Maxwell did start taking issue with his choice of shirts some days. He was asked to remove his shirt or turn it inside out. The teacher says he had heard some complaints from others in the school about the shirts. Brian refused and was given a ZERO for the day, every day he wore a shirt that the teacher objected to.
The linked article above mentions:
|
Now if he was wearing all white shoes and the teacher said take them off, I doubt the school would have gone along with disciplinary action! Although the assistant principal attempts to spin the issue, this is all about the content on the shirt!
Well Brian’s parents contacted ACLU killers The Alliance Defense Fund. (The best Anti-ACLU group in the land
!) Also Brian’s issue started getting national attention among various pro-life circles. After that attention and a strongly worded letter from the ADF, Brian’s record has been cleaned and all zeros removed!
The ADF letter to the school principle mentions:
|
And the rest is history! Brian can wear his shirts and express his feelings as a child who is against the murder of children in the womb!
I say job well done!
The “black armbands” reference in the ADF letter is regarding the US Supreme Court Case Tinker v. Des Moines (1969). You can read summaries of that case and other related cases at the following web sites:
It is moments like this that I long for! Moments when groups that I normally take issue with stand up on a matter I AGREE WITH THEM ON!!! Because this is where I feel the focus should always be. Not on what government can give or what someone’s great, great, great, great grandparents did to anyone. Because this matter they took issue with this time is part of a real problem in inner cities. A culture of violence and depravity!

Now you know I’m a Conservative right? So I’m not buying all their “guns are a WMD” talk. I’m all for gun ownership and notice the ending of the assault weapons ban has not resulted in the mass mayhem some Liberals said would occur! But just the same their principle is sound! There is a real problem in the culture of many urban areas that involves people feeling they should shoot each other way too much! Their protest was an effort to bring about change in that culture. Kids really are influenced by this stuff and I’ve mentored enough to know! And most every group involved in the protest is one that I usually take issue with on other matters. But I have to say, if I lived in that area and the event was not being used as a Muslim recruitment rally or anything other than a protest of 50 Cent’s crap I WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE PROTESTING TOO! Because with the bodies laying in streets across America I’m happy to see efforts to denounce the culture that fosters it!
So they protested, and they were successful!
50 Cent’s billboards yanked after protests

So I say to them keep up the good work and I pray they all do more in this area.
Hey I give them their fair share of a pounding when I disagree with them. So I must be fair and acknowledge when they do good and actually take action that I think is a true positive. When they use the cameras for good like this I am glad.
(Take a picture this post, you may not see another like it from me for some time
.)
Unable to use facts and pertinent issues to make their case, some Liberals resort to cheap racial games. And the real shame is that some of them are Blacks using racial attacks against a Black man.
Michelle Malkin and The Political Teen have full coverage!
It’s 2005 and look who’s using racist caricatures from the 1960’s
…. Although one Democrat was wise enough to pull such mess! Back in the 1960’s and earlier plenty of racist Democrats used things like this. Who knew some Blacks would join in doing the same! Oh well, given the rate of Black on Black crime in the streets these days I guess I should have expected it! Sad on all levels!…
GA Republican Senator Johnny Isakson has been pretty critical of people who stood against Harriet Miers’ nomination and is upset she stepped down. He wanted her in because she is a woman.
Here is what Senator Isakson had to say early on in the Miers nomination process:
|
He even said it on his own web site!
Isakson Statement on Nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court
|
Even after all the information that came out about Harriet Miers Senator Isakson was still supporting her going through the full nomination process in radio interviews. I also heard him mentioning in interviews that critics of Miers did not know who she is. I think we gathered more than enough information to know, despite her shot paper trail!
After all the information that came out even James Dobson had doubts about her!
|
No matter what came out, Isakson wanted to drag out our time and money to push it to a vote! That nomination, although she is a “nice lady” did not deserve to have time spent going to a full vote!
This is why I voted for Herman Cain in the GA Republican Senatorial primary. We have open primaries in Georgia, so I can vote in any I wish without joining a political party.
Bottom line, take note of who the weak so-called Conservatives were at moments like this and vote them out in the primary! I pray Georgia voters remember these events and don’t continue to vote for Isakson in primaries simply because he’s been in GA politics for DECADES! I don’t care how long he’s been in. He’s becoming a liability to the Conservative cause and is not true to Conservative principles!
I’ve made it known that I support Janice Rogers Brown being nominated. And I support her because of her credentials. Not at all because she is female or Black. If I simply wanted to endorse a Black person I’d recommend someone like Larry Thompson who has a very short paper trail. But I don’t want someone for their race or gender. I want someone who will do the best job. And the fact Senator Isakson stood so strongly behind Miers despite everything that came out shows he is as weak a Conservative as I’ve always felt he is!
