If the church is ministering the Gospel, does the pastor need to tell his members how to vote? It should be obvious to them.

At least with Bush’s funding any Faith Based body can apply and get money. With Jon Corzine’s program only select Black Churches get a cut.
For the record, I’m fine with programs like school vouchers where the money goes to an individual to give to the institution of their choice. Be it a Christian institution or whatever they choose. But Government giving money to churches is a bit of a gray area for me. Preserving a 100 year old church with Federal funds is OK by me. But Government giving money to church charities on a regular basis is not something I endorse. I think the money should be given to the people to give to whoever we wish. I don’t think Government should play the role of charity giver.
