It is time for the President to give up the effort with Harriet Miers before things get really embarrassing. The logical choice now is Janice Rogers Brown!
She has already faced down the current set of Liberal nuts in confirmation to the Court of Appeals. So she already knows their game. Also every Conservative knows the lines that Liberals will try to use against her and how to denounce those Liberal points with facts. To nominate Brown would be like an open book test! We already know the challenges and how to knock them all down! It’s already been done! We know Priscilla Owen already gave up. And another Bush crony like Alberto Gonzales is a non-starter for sure! To pick anyone else means potential unknowns could pop-up from their past that have not been discovered yet! So time to get this mother of all judicial nomination battles going. Pull Miers and nominate Janice Rogers Brown!
Brown has a true and proven understanding of the Constitution. And some take issue with her being a Libertarian, but her time on the bench has shown she rules with true devotion to the Constitution. She is what the High Court needs!
